"But I think for this specific movie, what drew me to this movie and why they hired me, I think, is that the visual experience for this film must feel immersive enough for the audience to believe that these superhero characters have walked the earth for 7,000 years. So, to do that, there’s what I like to call an anthropological way of capturing things. The cameras are very grounded, and the movements are very natural. Shots are longer — we use wide angle lenses, and deep focus. Very similar to the thing you and I did together for Nomadland… it's about giving the audience the space and the time to be able to explore what's within the frame, and therefore come to their own conclusion of the relationship between the characters and the space they're in.

In this case you're going throughout history and 7,000 years, [and so it’s] even more important to make us feel like this world feels real and grounded. "[Thena] has a tragic story in our film in that she comes down with something called Mahd Wy’ry. If you guys are fans of comics, Mahd Wy’ry is something that can beset an Eternal. It's a version of dementia," he explained. "Because of the amount of memories they have, they become unstuck in their own mind, so she starts to forget exactly when she is, so through the course of the movie, Gilgamesh becomes her protector."

"And when we find them in the modern day, they're living off the grid in a cabin in Australia because she's too dangerous to have around humans, so it's a fun arc for Angelina to play."

Les initiés disent que les ventes anticipées du film de la cinéaste primée aux Oscars Chloé Zhao, auraient accumulé 2,6 millions de dollars au cours de ses 24 premières heures ; un montant de +86 % d'avance sur Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings (1,4 M$) et de +30 % d'avance sur Black Widow (2 M$) sur la même période.

Pour l'exposant n°1 AMC, Eternals représente ses ventes du premier jour les plus importantes jusqu'à présent cette année. Les billets Eternals ont été mis en vente lundi.

Bon je taquine un peu, mais d'un certain point de vue c'est le cas.

Et ouaip, j'ai évité tous spoilers jusqu'ici, mais apparemment certains idiots ont tout balancé en large et en travers, certains même de chez Variety, ce qui est assez blasant.

Chloé Zhao sur la référence à Superman :

"I take some responsibility for that. I think we're in the business of telling stories about mythology, and Superman, for example, comes from origin of mythology. In many different cultures, there's a form of Superman. And the people that created Superman and the brilliant filmmakers [who] brought Superman to screen, their movies are basically, in my opinion, doing a modern interpretation of that mythology."

[Richard Madden's Ikaris is Marvel's] "interpretation of that mythology. It doesn't mean we can't pay tribute and have a good time with these iconic ones that we all love to so much. I mean, who doesn't love Superman and Batman? Clearly our Eternals like them."

Belle montée en puissance dans le thème principal, mais je trouve que l'orchestration, et le choix des instruments peut-être, manquent de souffle, je ressens beaucoup moins une dimension mythologique qu'avec la bande originale de Justice League, par exemple (la vraie BO de JL, of course). Après il faudra voir la manière dont il apparaîtra au fil du film, l'orchestration pourra sans doute varier ^^

L'autre piste commence de manière plus mystique, avec ces chœurs, et là je ressens beaucoup plus cette dimension de grand récit sur des personnages de mythes et de légendes ! Celle là m'a donné des frissons !

En tous cas ça fait plaisir de retrouver Ramin Djawadi, 13 ans après Iron Man et fort entre temps de ses succès sur GoT et Westworld

Je n'ai pas écouté parce que je réduis au maximum ce que je vois et écoute du film pour profiter au maximum de mon visionnage dans une dizaine de jours mais je voulais rappeler qu'avant d'être popularisé par GoT et Westworld Ramin Djawadi avait déjà largement fait ses armes sur Prison Break (et son spin-off Breakout Kings) ainsi que FlashForward pour ce qui est de la télévision, n'oublions pas non plus l'excellente BO du premier Pacific Rim de Del Toro côté cinéma ou encore Dracula Untold et Warcraft. J'ai aussi adoré son travail sur les adaptations de The Strain (encore Del Toro) et Jack Ryan ! Il est très prolifique ce gars :love:
