"Culmination is an interesting word. The way I look at it, there are [small] stories, and then there’s the big story of the day, too. A New Hope, Empire and Return Of The Jedi tell the important parts of the tale that really define the history of the period.

"There are all kinds of sub-stories underneath that. We’ve been building all these small stories."

"To me, a theatrical experience has to have a big idea – a monumental moment in the time period that changes what’s happening. You’re looking for those moments that define an era, and that’s what the films really should be about – whether it’s characters coming together, or a defining moment."

"I have ideas, of course. I will not tell you what they are!. There are little things along the way that I’ve built across different mediums, all in preparation for things that come later...

Dans l'article de Empire Magazine, Dave Filoni a confirmé Thrawn en "grand vilain" et le rapport direct à Heir To The Empire :
"Definitely, in my eyes. When Timothy Zahn wrote 'Heir To The Empire,' Thrawn became this very iconic villain, because he was different than anything we’d seen before. He wasn’t another helmet-wearing, lightsaber-wielding bad guy, you know? There’s a lot of pull to make characters that are like Vader, because it is so iconic."

"He’s a critical player in this time period. We’re fortunate to have that character, and fortunate to have Lars [Mikkelsen] playing him."

"I want to make sure that I’m honouring ideas that Tim had, so I want to see what’s [in his books] for the story. In The Bad Batch, there is actually some crossover with the book Heir To The Empire in the military base of Tantiss. So there are little things along the way that I’ve built across different mediums, all in preparation for things that come later.

Daniel Richtman : "I hear that if the Mando film flops, they'll reconsider their plans and turn the crossover film into a miniseries. Lucasfilm is reportedly going to play it 'safe' with their shows moving forward - whatever that means."

"It's a long development. One of the reasons why is I like to work on very large arcs, and I try to factor in all the things that I'm creating simultaneously and look at them and say, 'Well, how do we do unique things? What are unique set pieces, and where is the story going? What's the play of the story?' I ask myself these questions. I have general outlines for all these things, general timelines for all these things. I keep moving the pieces on the board for a big strategy. That's the way I've always worked since I started on Clone Wars, and I got to the end of that series finally."

"You keep that in your mind in the future while you're working on the present. So, right now, I’ll be on Season 2 [of Ahsoka], and as those stories develop, it might change things that would affect what's happening in the future and what I would do. At times, it's a balancing act, but I'm constantly working at it, working out scenes. I know several scenes and where they would go, so you just kind of plug it in as you go.
