Cool...
"Oh my god, I love Kerrice! Kerrice [Brooks] is unbelievable. The whole cast, the whole set is people not like Kerrice—Kerrice is obviously very unique; no one’s like her—but everyone is such a great character. There's so much heart in the show. I had such a blast working on it. Holly Hunter is my hero. I couldn't believe I got to work with her. Broadcast News is, again, one of those performances that is just beyond. Paul Giamatti is a total delight."
"It's opened up to me the Star Trek Universe, which I knew The Original Series, I'd seen some of the movies. My husband's a big Trekkie, and so he and I watched Wrath of Khan and stuff like that during COVID, but now I'm going back, and I'm watching Deep Space Nine. My husband refers to it as my stories because I'll be, like, sitting in the tub with my laptop, just like, 'Oh! Oh no!' And laughing. He's like, it's like my soaps. I love it so much."
"Well, first of all, it's got movie stars in it, which I think is a great idea. Holly Hunter is in it, Paul Giamatti is in it. [Audience cheers] Right? That's exactly the response I think CBS is looking for. Holly— they're both fabulous. I didn't have the privilege of directing Paul."
"[Robert] Picardo's in it, Tig Notaro’s in it. [Audience cheers] Right? I love Tig. But it has the most massive set of any Star Trek ever. There's also a spaceship on the show, which I think, I hope that's not a fucking secret. I have been known—I’ve had a bad experience with oversharing, and I hope that wasn't an overshare, but it's fabulous. The sets are great. The scripts are— they're funny, which is always helpful on Star Trek."
"Oh, it’s much more hardcore Star Trek fans. It's, you know, it happens to be [at] Starfleet Academy, there are young people in it, but the movie stars run the— it's a show about…" [Crosby chimed in with] "... movie stars in space."
"The whole first season's in the can."
