Vu le film l'autre jour, pour faire court : c'ètait sympa sans être ouf, y'a de bonnes sèquences d'action, visuellement ça reste nickel mais du point de vue de l'histoire ça n'apporte rien de bien nouveau et surtout c'est trop long...

Vu et, comme toi Nirad, je l'ai trouvé toujours impeccable visuellement, rien à reprocher de ce côté là, c'est superbe, rien à redire, si ce n'est qu'il y avait eu avec le premier la vraie surprise d'effets numériques hyper réalistes qui avaient créé une sensation bluffante d'immersion dans une "réalité fictive", alors qu'aujourd'hui c'est davantage l'impression d'un super film d'animation qui prévaut.

Pour le reste, bien que j'ai trouvé le développement scénaristique intéressant, au point que je me suis fait la réflexion qu'il aurait mieux valu que ce soit le second et non le troisième, c'est encore et toujours la même histoire qui se décline sur le même thème de départ, avec au début les mêmes problèmes de relations familiales, la découverte d'une nouvelle tribu, et dans la foulée les humains qui veulent qui comme toujours cherchent à tout foutre en l'air pour leur seul bénéfice, avec évidemment l'un d'entre eux qui s'y oppose sans succès, et les animaux dans la balance du grand tout. Et moi qui imaginais des combats sur les terres volcaniques du peuple des Cendres, histoire de changer de décor, et bien non, rebelotte sur les flots avec, pour ainsi dire, les mêmes enjeux rapport à la chasse à la "baleine" et le combat entre les deux ennemis jurés, Sully et Quaritch. Et, oui, c'est vraiment bien trop long, je n'en pouvais à la fin, complètement gavé et saoulé.

Bref, là où au départ de la saga il y avait la découverte d'un nouveau monde avec un environnement paradisiaque qui permettait de suivre une histoire captivante, ici c'est la redite fatigante d'une histoire qui n'en finit plus de s'étendre en se répétant inlassablement, et dont les suites évolutives auraient finalement mieux fait d'avoir été développées en série au lieu de gros pavés qui commencent à lasser tout le monde au vu d'un box office plutôt décevant au bout du compte.
